Not a major problem for me but a bit annoying. Everything else stays open but the explorers that were open are all gone and 1 or 2 utility programs also are gone (one is to show current month calendar when I hover mouse cursor over clock). I can have a few others running but when I get ready to run a new instance of Firefox in a sandbox I get a message that explorer has crashed and lose all my open explorer windows. Perhaps a conflict with one of the other utilities/drivers/programs running in the background. One minor problem is it seems to cause my explorer to crash every now and then when I try to invoke a sandbox on my 64-bit system (Win 7). I'm glad I paid to have use of all its features and can't imagine being without it. Although Shadow Defender does take up a small amount they seem to have some algorithm that prevents disk usage from becoming excessive. The "free" programs will "eat up" your disk space and some change your MBR. Deep Freeze was my favorite but they have an annual fee now. Although not free it more than makes up for the cost by being low maintenance. fixed issues with shortcuts #2601 (okrc)Äownload: Sandboxie Plus (64-bit) | Sandboxie Plus (32-bit) ~16.0 MB (Open Source)Äownload: Sandboxie Classic (64-bit) | Sandboxie Classic (32-bit) ~3.My preferred program to avoid problems you described is Shadow Defender.fixed potential BSOD issue in the driver.- Note: programs started unsandboxed can not have rights dropped, but UAC prompts and elevation from within the sandboxed are blocked. enabled drop admin rights option for compartment style boxes.reworked trace log retrival to greately improving performance.Sandboxie 1.6.6 Plus / Classic 5.61.6 changelog: The Classic build has the old no longer developed MFC based UI, hence it lacks support for modern features, these features can however still be used when manually configured in the Sandboxie.ini. What's different is the user interface the Plus build has a modern Qt based UI which supports all new features that have been added since the project went open source. Both have the same core components, this means they have the same level of security and compatibility. Sandboxie is available in two flavors Plus and Classic. Sandboxie runs on all the latest operating systems, supports all major web browsers and comes with small footprint on the hard drive space with simple installation.
